Abstract:
To have a panel of Compaq Experts involved in Server Consolidation discuss topics related to their work and experiences with Server Consolidation. The first part of this presentation will be led by a moderator with discussion topics picked by the panel. The very first topic will be a brief description of what Server Consolidation is. The second part of this interactive questions from the audience. The Compaq Experts will be from NSIS as well as ECS. Server Consolidation can be on any of these Compaq Hardware Platforms: Intel, Alpha, Himalaya and Operating Systems supported on those platforms: OpenVMS, Windows NT, Tandem Non Stop Kernel and UNIX. The panel's members will be Lynne Glickman, Russell Heinselman, Fred Kemper, Kerry Main, Ram Mouli, and John Schwenkler of Compaq Computer Corporation.

Objectives:
Understand the implications of Server Consolidation on their IT environment.
 
Understand the experiences that the panel members have seen and been involved in, in regards to Server Consolidation and see if Server Consolidation is appropriate to their IT environment.
 
Understand what Server Consolidation is.  

Prerequisites for attendees:
No prerequisites

Required Skill Level:
Intermediate
