Abstract:
This presentation explores the different aspects of I/O performance when RAID is used. All levels of RAID are examined and the factors affecting performance are detailed. Comparisons are made between the performance of different RAID levels under system environments and guidelines are given for selecting the best RAID level for different system configurations. An advanced section covers additional performance information, and tips are given on what to look for when choosing specific RAID products.
