Abstract:
Tivoli Enterprise software is an enterprise-management solution designed to manage systems, networks, databases and applications from a business-process perspective. In this session, participants will learn how RISCommander from RISCSOFT, Inc. extends Tivoli Enterprise’s secure systems-management capabilities to the OpenVMS VAX and Alpha platforms. Topics covered will include: Tivoli Enterprise Archititecture and Framework Environment; RISCommander Architecture and procedures to perform secure systems-monitoring/event management, user administration, inventory and software distribution with Tivoli Management Applications; Overview of Tivoli integration of DCL script routines and custom Tivoli event adapters for OpenVMS logfiles and console screens. Who Should Attend? This session is intended for senior IT management and OpenVMS administrators who are planning to implement Enterprise Systems-Management solutions.
