Abstract:
This session will provide an interactive introduction to the LINUX operating system by “LINUX Journal” publisher Phil Hughes. Starting with a brief overview of LINUX’s expanding role as a trusted business operating system, then moving on to hands-on exploration of LINUX, including acronyms and terminology, and basic commands. Attendees will take part in the customization of a user account, navigation of the directory structure, file and data manipulation. The target audience for this session is the new LINUX user - no previous LINUX experience is required.
