Abstract:
This session will introduce the new flagship for the AlphaServer product line. This session will explore the design of our next generation commercial supercomputer and the advanced technology attributes engineered into this product by Compaq's High Performance Server Division. Attendees will learn how Compaq has extended the capabilities of server computing in all critical dimensions while continuing to provide customers investment protection for their existing high-end AlphaServer investments. The architecture for the new flagship of the AlphaServer line will be discussed and attendees will be exposed to the details of the design of this next generation commerical supercomputer. Attendees will learn how this system design, which employs several patent- pending design attributes, translates into outstanding value for Customers investing in high-end servers to satisy "24x7 business solution requirements." This is definitely a "must-attend-session" for Customers desiring to understand the latest technical details on the system which dramatically extends Compaq's leadership in 64-bit computing as we enter the 21th century.
