Abstract:
A look at Compaq's Industry-Standard 8-way server technology and the ProLiant servers that will incorporate this technology. Compaq continues to redefine and lead industry-standard computing, introducing a breakthrough 8-way Symmetric Multi-Processor (SMP) architecture that delivers the highest levels of performance and scalability while simplifying and lowering the costs of computing. The new Profusion 8-way architecture, jointly developed by Compaq, Intel and Corollary, provides enterprise customers with scalable performance for their most demanding applications such as e-commerce, data warehousing, web serving, terminal serving, and mail and messaging.
